Many believe that to really create gender equality, education of youth at an early age is recommended. Many working on 1325 on educational levels believe that teaching youth in high risk or conflict affected countries on the 'spirit' of 1325 in preventing armed violence may spur its implementation. One example of an outstanding peace education lies in the extensive programs of PeaceJam, which is the only offiical youth-education peace program supported by twelve Nobel Peace Laureates! We have had the great honour and pleasure of contributing to various PJ programs throughout the years at the University of Bradford in England, and have presented on girl child-soldiers as well as the fate of trafficked North Korean defector women.
