Being a Japanese-American Human Rights Activist Internationally
On this virtual presentation entitled "Being a Japanese-American Human Rights Activist Internationally: The Power of Arts and Culture in Bridging Communities" , Betsy Kawamura and Dr. Maya Soetoro at University of Hawaii, Manoa discuss the challenges of being a human rights activist internationally. Ms Kawamura graduated from the University of Hawaii, then received her MBA in San Francisco. Afterwards, she moved across the ocean to Norway, launching her engagement in women's rights and human rights issues, especially for North Asian survivors.
